Duane Street was (and is) a street in lower Manhattan. It's quite
possible he had his estate in Massachusetts but also had a town house
in Manhattan where he stayed during the week, taking the railroad to
MA on weekends. Another possibility is Massapequa, Long Island,
but I think that would probably be spelled out (or just say "LI").

Where do you find him (or his family) in the 1900 census?
