Almshouse records on microfilm. However, I had more success looking at the
copies of the Almshouse Admission Records which the Mormons have on
microfilm. Two of the films, in particular, you should consult are:
1376269 (covers the years 1846-1877) and 1376270 (covers the years
1877-1881). Each film has an alphabetized index at the beginning which
gives each inmate's admission number. You simply scroll until you reach
your number, and you'll find excellent genealogical information, including
at times the townland in Ireland where the inmate was born, as well as the
place in Ireland where the inmate's parents were born.
Good Luck!
