This changing birthdate almost always makes them younger so I have to
believe it was intentional. My g-grandmother came from Ireland with her two
younger sisters. Apparently they all de-aged three to four years apiece in
route. I can't figure out why they didn't at least keep the same month/day.
It could also be that since it was illegal to keep any kind of record on
Catholics in Ireland for so many generations, the Irish got use to just
estimating ages.
It does make finding them so much more interesting doesn't it? Eileen
