I checked in "Records of the Reformed Dutch Church in New Amsterdam and New
York - Marriages from 11 Dec 1639 - 26 Aug 1801" and found no reference to
Herbert Ayling. I also checked my Family Tree Maker's CDs of Marriage Index,
NY 1639 - 1916 and NY #2 1740s -1880s. Nothing on either of those, either.
If he died in 1919 I don't think he'll be found in any marriage records
between 1600 and 1800 unless he had an usually long life.

for the three marriages of Herbert AYLING. One of his marriages is listed at
#239.
Wife #1 = Maria T. Madden - m. 18 Nov 1876, NYC
#2 = Annie - maiden name & date unknown
#3 = Reine - " " " "

Herbert died 29 Aug 1919, Manhattan, after being a successful character
actor for 42 years. At the time of his death he resided at 102 East 58th
Street, Manhattan. He was survived by his wife, Reine.

Also would appreciate knowing the E.D. for this address in 1910 if someone
could look that up for me.
