Another update for the HNOH Welcome-Jewish Orphanages in the US at
http://www.scruz.net/~elias/hnoh is now on line.

A new page has been created entitled "Lady Deb Was No Lady": The Saga of the
Ladies Deborah Nursery and Child's Protectory. How one orphanage starting
out with good intentions became one of the most horrific orphanages in New
York City with child abuse and mismanagement of funds. Florence Marmor and
her wonderful research friends have collected old documents from 1878 to 1902
showing the rise and demise of the Lady Deb. There are links to the 1880 and
1890 NYC Police Census as well as death abstracts of some of the chlildren on
the Orphans and Foundling Burial Page.

On the Orphans and Foundling Burial page 13 more abstracts were added now
totaling 156 children buried in free burial. There is also information on
many old hospitals where these children died.

New URL links have been added to the Jewish Genealogy Research Page and the
Other Genealogical Research Page. There are now over 1500 links connecting
to thousands more on the Internet.
