What's the date and name of the court? And is this a Petition for
Naturalization or a Declaration of Intention?
Pre-1907 naturalization documents for courts in the NY City area
don't usually contain a lot of meat (but you never can tell). Early
ones often have only the signature and address of the applicant
and the witness and the applicant's former allegiance. Later on
you begin to see things like occupation, date of birth, date of
arrival in the US, and sometimes the name of the ship.
Early NYC DOIs (1840s-1860s) are usually just the signature, date,
and allegiance on a form preprinted 3 per page in a liber.
