Prior to 1866, Manhattan deaths were recorded in a register, which is what
you have. There is no corresponding death certificate.

Hi,
Can you please tell me if a death in 1832 would have been included in this
register or is this date too early for such a record?
I am looking for a death record or probate info. on my ancestor WILLIAM
MILLS PHILLIPS who died 27 Aug 1832 during the Cholera epidemic.
