It'll save you a lot of time (service while-u-wait) but it'll cost
you $5/cert either in person or by mail. Plus, if you go in person
you may have to rent a microfilm reader for $5/day to verify the
desired cert is on the roll of film you hand them for the photocopy.
They insist on making the photocopies of vital records, but there
are microprinters you can use for city directories and other non-vital
records at $0.25/page ($0.50/page for tax photos, which use up a lot
more toner).
If all you want to do is look and take notes, then it'll just be
the $5/day for the reader.
