Discount the parents' names on the death cert and accept the church
record. (However you might consider the names "Georg" and "Metzger" as
possible clues to the identity of the father.)
BTW, church records often have a notation whether the child was
"legitimate" or "illegitimate", although this may be omitted from a
transcription. Make a specific inquiry about this.
Was Leo still a child when he immigrated?
Perhaps a passenger record would show who he was travelling with.
If Zoezillia did not emigrate, there may be a record of her marriage
at the same church. (Or of somebody named Metzger.)
