HI Everyone,
Can anyone tell me if there
still is an Allen Street Methodist Church in New York City? I have a
certificate of "Holy Matrimony" performed at that church and signed by a
Pastor John Alexander Roche on Dec.5,1865. My ggrandparents ADELIA GILLESPIE
and TIMOTHY DEFOREST LANE were married that day , but I can't find proof of
it. They moved to Brooklyn after wards , and had six children.

2.NELL JOSEPHINE LANE married REED (died in childbirth)
3.MARY LANE married WICKERS
4.DEFOREST LANE born ca. 1873
married ???? 5.ANNIE
BLANCHE LANE born Jan.2,1876 married SAMUEL JUDD STEWART--moved from Brooklyn
to Norwalk,CT(My grandparents) 6.GRACE ADELAIDE LANE
married WILLIAM MAYHEW Any help would
be greatly appreciated. All I know about the GILLESPIE side, is that the
father died after ADELAIDE was born in Canada, and the mother took her three
young daughters back to NYC where she was from. Thanks
