St Teresa's is still there at 141 Henry St but is pretty run down
physically, or at least was a few years ago - the roof of the
church had collapsed and services had to be held in the basement.
It's a very poor parish, now serving a primarily Hispanic and
Asian immigrant congregation.

The pastor at the time (and maybe still today) was Fr. Dennis Sullivan.
He splits his time between St Teresa's and another parish.
He did lookups for me. Since this was my ancestral family's parish
for many years I enclosed a sizeable donation, which may or may not have
influenced him to expedite work on my case. Or maybe the name had
something to do with it. :-)

Regards,
Charles Sullivan

I am tracking a very thin clue regarding my family and need to know the
birth date of several aunts and uncles who may have been baptized at St.
Teresa's Church on Henry Street (I believe) in lower Manhattan around the
1880s-1890s. Has anyone had any luck getting information from them? Also,
anyone have a contact there?

Thanks.
