The public can see a federal census 72 years after it is taken. For example, the 1930 census became public this year, 72 years after 1930. The 1940 census will be public ten years from now.

Andreas Scholze wrote:Hi listers,
I am brandnew on this list. Living in Berlin / Germany and searching my
relatives "FREYKOR". They originally came from Prussia (searched on Prussia
Roots web many times, but without success), Hohensalza; today Inowroclaw.
One of them, called Robert Freykor, lived in Berlin and emigrated to NYC
around 1942. He had to, because he was jewish! His last residental address
was: 566 West, 162nd Street, App. 46. Unfortunately I cannot find any
descendants. I assume he changed his name. Perhaps to Frey, or Fry,
or........? Can anyone help me? your assistance is very much appreciated.

Another Freykor lived in NYC too: Gerda Buff, nee Freykor. Her last address
was 210 West, 26th Street NYC.

I think, that we might find Roberts name after naturalization. Has anyone
access to the 1940 and 1950 census?

Hope you understand my bad english. Andreas in raining Berlin.
