Based on positive messages about the Most Holy Redeemer Church on this site,
I sent a letter of inquiry about an ancestor who may have attended that
church in the 1850's. I have never received a reply and I sent a
self-addressed/stamped envelope. Is this now normal?

Also, does the New-York Historical Society ever reply to e-mail? I sent an
inquiry about their manuscript collections.
