Has anyone tried the snapshot tool key click and go to what you want and
drag around. It will then ask if you want to save to clipboard. It then
puts to clipboard just the piece you want and then I paste and save to a
words program I have opened and named. You can still fiddle with size I
have quite often gone to zoom to read but you can drag down size one you
want to copy and add notes like dates where it came from. You can then
print out as you want or add as I did as I got all the family names
together. Hope this makes sense. Trouble is you can always find what is on
page as find selection doesn't seem to pick it up. But then it depends on
the name could be a street named after them or something like an ordinary
noun. Funeral notices list all relatives so could be a married name and
you have to read them all until you get to know the family connections. Or
they turn up as secretaries or presidents of regiments, lodges etc and can
have that name added at the bottom Personally I am grateful for the fact
there is the facility to find at all. The index to NY Times only had 5 of
my name and there is close to 1500 hits by just putting in the name alone in
basic search. Someone did this for us so I personally would like to thank
them for the good job they did although maybe not for all the nights I was
up reading */*. It's addictive. Remember find a funeral notice and
sometimes you can marry off those females and leaves more births etc to be
found. Also remember died/death married/wedding in computers are two
different words so it is worthwhile checking both as can be either. Not a
expert but this worked for me and saved me hours of getting death dates and
then going to our library to look up a film. I did it all in my PJs.
(grin)
