Sorry, but New York State did not begin recording births (or marriages or
deaths for that matter) until the early 1880s--100 years after your
Slingerland birth.

This list caters specifically to New York City, which has very different
archives and lore than Albany. If you'd like to connect with people who
know about resources for 18th century Albany (such as church records), you
