Hello NYC,

Perhaps some folks may advise me as I am STUCK on SHIPS.

What port would a BAVARIAN emigrate from circa 1832-33?
What would be the best sites to search for these SHIPS?

It appeared I had a strong lead, "with a little help from a friend," but a
couple of facts are off. According to the "rules," he had to be here 2
years
before filing. The person's age is ten years off. .

I am aware that there was no King of Bavaria or Emperor of Germany during
this era,
but this is what the NARA records say. Each record had two pages and the
first and surnames were slightly different.

With German records, if you can't get a hometown, you are sunk.

Any help with this greatly appreciated. ALSO, the surname appears big time
in
PA, so I am wondering if they may have arrived in Philly not Manhattan.
