I found the same helpfulness last night at my local LDS Family History
Center.

I just ordered two Manhattan Marriage Index tapes from them for $3.75
each.

I understand that when they come in, they will call me and I will use
the two indices to look up the reel number for the actual reel(s) with
the marriage certificate images on them. I can then order the actual
reel for $3.75 or if it shows the certificate #, and I choose, I can
then order certified copies from New York at a higher price. The latter
would be direct to NY, not through the Family Center.

You can get BC AND DC Certificates from your local Family History
Center.You can find there llocations
on there Web Site.I have gotten DC certificates for my Great Granfather
and Grandfather and all it
cost was 3.25 each.I have found the Volunteers there very helpful.
