Thank you all for the feedback on the Auburn Citzen Article about
me. Your replies have touched me deeply.

I thought you would enjoy something I found in my notes from
over 20 years ago at the Historians Seminar in Rennsellaerville
from June 14-18th 1980. On the last day, we each had to
write what we each thought our goals as a" new historian" should be.
What we each hoped to do with the resources available to us,
and those we had to "dig" and research out!
I smile today knowing whatever the outcome of the April 11
Owasco Town Board Meeting, and if they do decide to select
another Owasco Historian, I have indeed completed the goals I
set for myself so long ago. Thank you all.
" I see my role as a local historiain, by thru caring for our history
past and present, and more importantly sharing it with the
community to help them become aware of the influence and
importance of their town. Like many other small towns , in
shaping and molding the American Dream through their
sacrifice, success, failures, and struggles.
I see my role as a local historian thru the use of my mind
and energy to record the excitement, sentiment and genealogy
for the enjoyment of all."
