You might want to check records in Savannah, Wayne County, NY. It borders
Montezuma in Cayuga County. The Towns of Mentz and Aurelius also both near
Montezuma in Cayuga County.

Many Montezuma residents attended Port Byron High School which is located in
the town of Mentz.

Do you have any additional information on the specific O'Neil family you are
searching for?
(Names/Dates/Marriages/Etc...?).

I have an Ellen O'Neil (b. abt 1825 in Ireland d. after 1905) who was
married to Thomas Higgins (d. bef 1855) from Savannah, NY in my family line.

There son Charles Higgins (1848 - 1924) lived in Montezuma, NY.

It is easier for people on these Rootsweb lists to respond to your inquiry
and to make family connections if more information is provided in your
posting.

There is an 1850 Federal Census for Montezuma, NY you may want to check.

I've searched the Cayuga and Seneca County sites (without luck) looking for

Irish family (O'Neil) that is believed to have lived there.
