Julie,
Amrhein is tough. There is a George in my husbands line so see if he fits.

My father-in-law's name is Edward Amrhein, born in Depew NY in 1927. Edward's father was Frank Amrhein, born in Johnstown, PA.
Mother's name Carrie Eggler who was born in Germany and came to U.S. when she was two.

Frank Amrhein's parents were Anna Kuebler and Arthur Amrhein. They were married in January 1881.
Anna's parent's were Otilla (Kalley) & Ludwig Kuebler
Arthur's parents were Louise (Yocum) & Henry Amrhein from Bethlehem, PA.

My father-in-law does not know if they were in another state before this.

Arthur Amrhein came to Johnstown PA in 1880. Made their home in Cambria Borough before moving to Morrellville about the time of the Flood of 1889.
Don't know where those last two mentioned places are; but must be near Johnstown PA because my Father-in-Law said Arthur remembered the flood.

Arthur and Anna's other children were; John, Edward, Otilla, Esther, Ludwig, Anna (who married John Courtney), and George. This is all taken from an old news clip about Arthur and Anna's 50th wedding. There is no date on the clip.
