In Gerry, Chautauqua County, New York in 1900 there was an institution or sanitarium. It housed a manager, a matron, a nurse, a teacher and about forty inmates. The inmates were from ages of one year old to eighty six or so years old. About half of the inmates were children. Can someone shed some light as to what kind of facility this was?

I found the above in the Census Microfilm Records: New York, 1900 for Gerry, Chautauqua County, New York Series: T623 Microfilm: 1014 Book: 2 Page: 31
