I came across your message today on Capt. James Dunn and his family. He was my GGGGrandfather. Yes he was married to Alexander. Her given name was Elizabeth. Thank you for all the work you have put into the families of Chautauqua Co. Ny. I am working on my ancestors and this will be a great help. I am from James and Elizabeth's son David, his son James David, and his son David Richard Dunn, and his daughter. When I was over to the British Isles, I saw the war books of all the men who were in their services. My grandfather's name appeared over and over again. There were so many. I am trying to connect which country his family was originally from. It is my understanding that there were two different lines of Dunns. They migrated from Ireland, Scotland, and Wales looking for work. Thank you again. Diane, aunt of Paula.
