Hi, You wouldn't happen to know of any Chases buried in Old Chatham, New Britain, Hudson, etc. would you. Am looking for Benjamin Chase Sr., d. 1826, and lst w. Elizabeth Durfee, d. abt 1776,also 2nd w. Mehitable Thurston, d. 1816 New Britain per Quaker Meeting Records, Columbia Co. Also looking for son Benjamin's lst w. Phebe Barnard Macy, d. abt. 1818. Son Benjamin's brother, Cornelius Thurston Chase and family are buried in the Rayville Cem, but I can't find any trace of the others. Cornelius ran a Quaker school in Old Chatham. Book Ghosts in Residence written abt. the Old Chase Place way up a winding road that only old timers seem to know of and how to get to the place. There was a meeting house right near by. Both places have been rennovated. No one can find hid nor hare of them cept for Cornelius who I find the Library of Congress has a ton of info on including the family. Hope to get there one day! Home is inhabited to this day by author's family...! Don't und!
