Scott I have a NYTEL Directory c 1987/8 .Looks like he is listed. there are 18 Kipps in that book.Try switchboard....Kipp is an old Hudson Valley name also in NY State.Town or city clerk has vitals ,an obit,surrogate's records if there was a will..NY Archives in Albany but may have to be a relative..Hudson paper Register Star or even Albany Times Union.Michigan may also have an obit.Goodluck
