Hi List,

I am seeking connection with the following line. I believe that the first
listed James MEEHAN was brother to Cornelius MEEHAN. I am seeking validation
of that assumption. (Cornelius MEEHAN was my great - great grandfather,
married to Margaret.)

Julia HEATH [dob 1810-20] married James MEEHAN [dob 1806/7], year of
marriage unknown. They came to America from County Galway, Ireland. They had
at least two children, James and Michael.

Julia died 2 or 3 October 1905 in Delhi, NY. Her husband James died in Nov
1864. (The latter is from a handwritten note copied off a tombstone!)

James the second somehow ended up in Nevada because he had a son James
Timothy MEEHAN born in Gold Hill, Nevada, August 15, 1879/1882. James the
second's wife was Theresa Bedelia White. Theresa died in Delhi, NY in 1932.

James and Julia Meehan also had a son Michael. Michael's wife was Sarah.
Sarah was residing at 312 West 103 St. NYC in 1905.

James and Julia MEEHAN had 6 known grandchildren:
James T [James and Theresa's son James Timothy Meehan was living at 350
West Preston St, Hartford, CT, in 1936. In 1905 James was residing at 80
Hopkins St, Hartford, CT. James Timothy Meehan married Kathryn [Katherine,
Catherine] Crowley in Rainbow, Mass in April 1911.

Edward [residing at 1334 Broad St. Hartford CT in 1905],

John B Meehan [residing at 132 A____ty St, Brooklyn NY in 1905],

William F Meehan, 1890-1957.

*George H. Meehan, died in Delhi NY in 1951 at age 69.

and *Julia T. Meehan.

Julia T. Meehan was the daughter of James MEEHAN #2 and sister of James
Timothy Meehan. She married William DILLON in November 1911 in Delhi, NY.
Julia T. Meehan was a milliner. She resided with her parents on Delaware
Avenue, Delhi, NY, in 1911.

There was a Catherine Meehan MURRAY residing in Florida in 1983 who was a
descendant of James and Julia.

There is a stained glass window in St. Peter's Church in Delhi, in memory of
James and Julia Meehan

Other:

Julia HEATH MEEHAN had a stepdaughter Maria O'Connor residing at 4095 18th
St, San Francisco, CA, in 1905.

Julia HEATH MEEHAN had a niece, Maria Hunter, residing in Virginia City,
Nevada, in 1905.

These are the mystery links. Much of the information above came from
documents provided by Delaware County, personal communications, and
newspaper clippings provided by list members. They have my undying
gratitude.
