Hi George,
Have been watching the many ways to clean tombstones on the Del. Co.
mailing list.
Aren't people great? Especially genealogists?
You mentioned helping from Middletown. Have been trying for years to find
any info
on my grandmother Laura May Kinch (or maybe VanSteenburgh) who was born, I
think in Middletown according to her funeral record. Her mother was
Georgianna or
Georgia Anne VanSteenburgh, and her father was supposed to be George Kinch
the
same as for Laura's brother John Kinch. Although on the 1895 census they
were living
with Georgianna's father Aaron Van Steenburgh in Andes township. Maybe
some hanky panky someplace. Laura married Franklin Hafele in 1900 at
Reed's Creek,
Colchester Station. They could find nothing at Colchester (or
Downsville?) If
possible do you think you might check the births for that time period?
Would surely
appreciate it. Thank you.
