I have been researching a Roxbury family that was in the Perth Amboy,
Middlesex County area of New Jersey in 1830( just one) and forward. Land
records, wills, tax lists produce a dead end earlier. In 1850 they are
in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York. I saw on a post on another list
that there is a Roxbury, Delaware County, New York. Were the founders of
Roxbury Delaware County, New York founded by anyone with the surname
Roxbury? I see a trail of Roxbury families up into NY in census records
for 1840 and prior. Any histories of the area anyone could recommend?
