Subject: [NYDELAWA-L] Thomas OLIVER and Nellie RAINEY
Date: Wed, 21 Jun 2000 08:58:50 PDT

Recently in the 1910 census I found Nellie RAINEY living with her uncle,
Thomas OLIVER at 95 or 116 Delaware Avenue (renting), Delhi.
In an earlier census (1900) they were together in Delhi, but I have no
address.
Also, Nellie's brother, Frank M. (spelled)RANNEY, wife and children also
were in Delhi. I know where they are all buried (Greene Co).
In the 1920 census, I find Nellie's mother, Francis J. RAINEY living with
her in Delhi Village.

The father of Nellie and Frank was Gouveneir M. RAINEY and I see him in the
1880 census for Osewgo County with the family and nothing afterwards so I
surmise he died before 1900.I have perused every cemetery list I can find
and do not see any RAINEY's (variation of spelling found has been Ranney,
Rannie, Ranny, Rainne, Raine, Riney, Reny) or Thomas OLIVER. (NOTE: I do not
know if he is paternal or maternal uncle at this point).

I have perused every cemetery list I can find and do not see any RAINEY's
(variation of spelling found has been Ranney, Rannie, Ranny, Rainne, Raine,
Riney, Reny) or Thomas OLIVER. (NOTE: I do not know if he is paternal or
maternal uncle at this point).

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can look further. Has any one
seen the RAINEY's on any lists?
