Deloise,
I happened to spot your surname MABEN, and wondered if you had a connection
with the Margaret MABEN (or MATIN) from my husband's family.
Margaret was marr. to John RICKARD (or RICKART) and lived in Sullivan Co., NY
at one point. Their da Alice R. was born abt 1876.
As you see, both surnames leave some opening for interpretation due to the
poor handwriting, etc on the census and death record, but since the surname
MABEN to my knowledge is rare..thought we might exchange info on same.
