Hello Listees,

I'm trying to find information on the Spafford, Merritt and Rhead families
who lived in Delaware county, NY in the mid 1880s to early 1900s.

Olive Spafford, b 1855 in Hale Eddy and died in 1910. Buried in East Branch
cemetery. She married Alfred H. Robinson in 1877.

George E. Merritt, b 1936 died 1905, married Ida Fatina Rhead in 1862. Ida
was born 1843 and died 1914. Both buried in East Branch cemetery. 1880 and
1900 census shows them living in Hancock. Children Blake John, Margaret,
George W., Jacob C, and Fatina. 1920 census shows George W. as owning a
lumber mill in Margaretville. Also 1880 census shows Ida's mother,
Elisabeth, living with them, b. 1813.
