Susan, I do not know if my ancestors went through NY or not. My Coulter
ancestor appears to have gone to Albany fairly quickly after arriving in
America. If he was in NY, it probably was very briefly. But, I really
can't be sure. If anyone else has any ideas about what the norm was for
arriving immigrants from Scotland, I'd love to hear them. Ray LaFever
