I have found a John Griffin, in Delaware Co, NY and have traced him back through the census, and familysearch.org, to Ct. In 1860, John Griffin is 72 years old, was born in Ct. but is now in Stamford, Delaware Co, NY. In 1820 he is also in Stamford, NY. In familysearch.org I found a John Griffin, born 1787, in Newtown, Fairfield Co, Ct. His dad was Amos Griffin , b. 1763, in Newtown, Ct. I wonder if anyone has any mention of Amos or John. I am trying to link this family to my Jonathan Griffn, b. 1819 in Greene Co Jonathan later lived in Harpersfield, Stamford, Delaware Co,NY. Thanks.
