Hello All . . .

We have lost one more of our Delaware County volunteers. Arretta Early.
Arretta transcribed many old newspaper clippings and obits for our
website. Linda Ogborn informed me yesterday of Arretta's passing and
kindly sent the obit which can be read at:

My relationship with volunteers of data to this website varies. Living
as I do in Saratoga County, I have met only a few in person. In addition
to that, many are scattered across New York State and the US. All sit in
their homes keying information in for the website. It is only through
e-mail and our shared interest in preserving history of Delaware County
and of its settlers that we get to know each other.

In looking over the list of volunteers, I see many names that have been
silent in my e-mail lately. One can only wonder, how many others have
quietly passed from the scene. J.
