Thanks for replying.

My family (Simmons and Rosa) lived on Oxbow Hollow Road from the mid-1830's
to around 1890. Some are buried in the Rosa and Walton Cemeteries. I don't
have burial information for most of my Simmons line. If not buried in one of
the unmarked plots in the Rosa Cemetery, maybe some are buried at the Oxbow
Hollow Cemetery? Will this cemetery be transcribed and posted on the
website in the future? Cindy

Hi Cindy---
I am an ex Village of Walton resident, leaving Walton in 1957, and last
visiting there in about 1990. Oxbow Hollow is east of Walton about four or
five miles and there is a cemetery about two miles north of the intersection
with NYS Route 10, which runs from Walton to Delhi and then on the Stamford.
When I was a kid, burials were still being made there, but I doubt that is
the case now. The Oxbow used to be a collection of small, family run dairy
farms as much of that part of Delaware County was. But, the family farm is
pretty much a thing of the past, and Oxbow is now just a rural setting for
homes for those who work in Walton or Delhi. Don Michel

Cindy,
I have it as being in the Walton NY area. Go down route 10 out of Walton
toward Delhi about five miles to the road that leads to the Delaware County
landfill. Drive down it a short distance. On a hill to the left is the Oxbow
Cemetery, named for the "oxbow" bend in the river and Oxbow Hollow
opposite. There are apparently about 20 or so graves there. No further info
here. Hope this helps some. Roger Davis

As far as I know, Oxbow Hollow is off from state route 10 between Walton
and Hamden, NY. Some of my relatives, the Hoyts and Reeds lived on
Oxbow Hollow about 50 years ago. I grew up in Walton and was a graduate
of Walton Central School in 1954. Bob Gregory

I was scanning through the list of Delaware Co. cemeteries and came across
Oxbox Hollow cemetery. Does anyone know anything about this site?
Thanks, Cindy
