A Question- just how common would it be for someone to give an in-laws last
name to their child ? I ask this because I am descended from Russell
Stone's daughter Annis who married a Finkle. As far as I know Robert, f/o John
Finkle Stone, is a brother of Annis.
OR, maybe there are more Finkle's in the Stone or Griffis family history, and
this could be a Clue. evelyn
Quite common then and still done today. My husband's first name was his
mother's maiden name...
