I am reading the handwritten diary of Matthew Griffin, written 1845 and
on....DelawareCo, NY...founder of Griffin Corners. I wonder if anyone
else has info about him? He mentions sofar,a brother E.W. (hard to read
writting)... He self taught himself law and became a lawyer later in
life. At this time in NY state...there were fights with the
antirenters...fascinating to read.....
He aslo mentions an Asa Griffin..and other folks...so far...I don't
recognize any of the names as being mine.
I found this through our ILL...it is on file at the Delaware Hist.
