Still researching McKee's from Kortright -- Many thanks, Rene, for
helping Joyce with the load of work -- thanks of course to Joyce for
building and keeping up the web site --
also thanks to Patty Gaddis for her work with records from Gilchrist
Memorial Presbyterian -- baptism records gave me the thrill of
finding out about my great great uncle James Harvey McKee. who wrote
the book Back in War Times, A Civil War Record of the 144th Regiment
New York Volunteer Infantry. I hope to put together a narrative of
his life and that of my great grandfather, who was the headmaster of
Marissa Academy, pictured on the Marissa, Illinois historical/
genealogical web site.
