Pat,

How wonderful, take a tape recorder and a digital camera and see if he has
pictures of family members.
I will be thinking of you as you have your meeting, there are so few of the
older people left or even younger ones who kept the history going. It was
Lenabel Beers who opened my eyes to genealogy of the Beers and Alverson
Family, I had always asked questions of my family from the time I was very
young. My mother did not talk about the family much because when she and
her family came over from Ireland to New Jersey, there were lots of signs
out that said "NINA" (no Irish need apply) and therefore they really did
not want to be Irish. It stuck with her for the rest of her life.
Interesting. No you know why I am very understand about those who do not
want to share and why I am so open. Lena asked me to take on the Genealogy
she had done all her life, none of her 6 children were interested in it and
I married her youngest child.

Well, have to go. have a good night.

Diana
