All I have is a suspicion that my Henry (b: 1794 NY) STEWART's family lived
in Delaware County. That suspicion is based upon the fact that his wife,
Hepsiba VanLoon/Lone/Loan was probably born (1797) to a VanLoon family that
did a slight migration from Greene Co. to probably Roxbury Or Stamford,
Delaware Co.Early census shows STEWARTs and VANLOONS in relatively close
proximity to each other BEFORE they migrated over to
Chemung/Steuben/Tompkins/Schuyler counties area. Hen + Hep migrated over to
Cass Co MI circa 1854.
To date, I have been unable to find any data on who Henry's parents might
be. One other clue is a woman living with Henry's family on the 1850
Catlin, Chemung census - a sister, cousin or maybe a widowed sis-in-law
named Mary STEWART age 58 b: NY.
If any of you Delaware Co STEWART researchers can offer STEWART info
regarding Henry, please send out your beam o light my way. Sue (a l b e r
