I live in the town of North Norwich, Chenango Co., and we share a
border with a piece of Delaware Co. as well as a longer one with
Otsego Co. My Tiffany ancestors came from RI originally > Attleboro,
MA > Norwich, Chenango Co., before 1800, I believe. My ggrandmother
Elizabeth C. Tiffany Evans had a piece of the white rose bush her
mother Zerviah Brown Tiffany (from RI) had brought with her from RI.
We live in the house and farm that my 2xggrandparents Tiffany built
in the 1850s while the original home farm up on the hill went to the
eldest son. Most of the sons and daughters, save one daughter,
children of William and Zerviah Brown Tiffany, built farms along the
valley where we now live, the last of the descendants to live close
to the original property.

Point of interest -- my 4xggrandfather was Humphrey Tiffany who died
in another part of NY but was brought back to this homestead to be
buried. His wife, who died in Massachusetts, is buried presumably in
the Attleboro/Adams area of Massachusetts.

I have found several cousins who trace their Tiffany heritage back to
the settlement in PA!! Some migrated up here and intermarried with
the Chenango Co. Tiffanys. Nine Partners was originally the name of
an area of Dutchess Co., along the Hudson River in NY and presumably
some Tiffanys were there for a time.

There is a published TIFFANY genealogy of which I have a copy if
anyone is interested in seeing how we're related.
