Hi Rock and fellow Haines Researcher:

I'm not sure if this information will get to the person who inquired about
John HAINES
and Mary CURTIS or not, but it is worth a try. I am Dorothy Holgate who
originally
posted the info in 2003. It has been a long time since I have been involved
in doing
genealogy and so the connection to the Rootsweb Board did not work for me.
Apparently,
I do have a password......but I don't have access to that site at present.

Below is a link which names the wife of John Haines as Mary Frost. This is
the name
that I had supposed to be correct for many years. You'll see that in this
Bible record
portion, Irena is listed as the last child. Only one child (Edward) is
given a date of birth,which is 17 April 1764. I believe that Edward was the
youngest child of John and Mary (Frost) Haines.

In the early 2000's quite a few people were listing John Haines wife as Mary
CURTIS.
This may be correct information. I do not have evidence to support that
though.

(Calkins) FROST was b. 27 October 1720. I believe her to be the wife of
John Haines.

My line continues through Irena Haines who married Joseph MORSE, and then
through their
daughter, Elizabeth MORSE, who married Joshua White.
