Hello Everyone!
Looking for any information on Henry Coleman (1838-1903) and his two wives
Emma Lucelia Jillson (1851-189?) and Emeline Holman (1864-19??).
Henry came from Ireland in the early 1840's and settled in Whitehall. He
eventually wound up in Poughkeepsie and was principal at Eastman's College
after Mr.. Eastman died (around 1878?). He moved to Newark, NJ in 1881 to
begin his own school (the Coleman National Business College).
Emma Jillson was born in Troy, NY but all three of she and Henry's children
where born Poughkeepsie and baptized at Christ Church (Episcopal) in
Poughkeepsie. Emma probably died in Poughkeepsie.
Emma Holman lived in Poughkeepsie with her parents Edward and Margaret
(Mittlemuss?). She moved to Newark with Henry after their marriage and had 3
children with him also.
Any information on these three is greatly needed, thank you.
Julie
