Looking for information on the family of Robinson Nye. Robinson's
daughter, Catherine Nye married Ambrose C. Downer of New Hamburg, NY
(Dutchess county) on July 24, 1827 in Ulster county. Catherine is the
daughter of Robinson Nye of New Paltz, Ulster county. Catherine was born
January 22, 1810 in New Paltz. Wanting to know more about Robinson Nye -
when and where born; when and where died; names of other children; name
of his wife. Is Meltier Nye, b. 1815 in Ulster county, a sibling of
Catherine Nye? Meltier married Rhoda Plain about 1838.
