It is our 350 anniversary of the landing of the Swartwout family in North America... I live in Canada and way out in the boonies, have no mean of transportation other than when my husband is home. I would love to see how many Swarthout, Swartout, and Swartwouts lived in Dutchess county... I am the mainter of a family site called The Updated Swartwout Chronicles and we give credit to all those that have sent in information... I know my line was from Hopewell.. John Swartwout or variation and his wife Aaltje "Attie" Bedell riaed part of the family in Fulton County and the other in Dutchess it is the later half the I would love to find records for. If you can help me find records or come across the information or photo's anything in your travels. I would really really appreciate it if you would mind sharing with the rest of us.. Don't go out of your way looking for it, just if you happen to see anything...
