I am trying to locate the parents and siblings of my Great Great Grandfater La Fayette Lester of Dutchess County. I have been able to determine who his children were but had had no luck finding out who his parents were. I also know nothing of his wife other than her first name (Mary). Any help would be appreciated (I am new at this). I am planning a trip to Dutchess County to see what the area is like (I currently live in Florida) and to do some research. If someone could tell me where to look and what to look for I would really appreciate it. Lafayette is buried in the Verbank cemetery and served in the 128th NY vol during the Civil War.
