I am also looking for more information on a boarding school in Poughkeepsie. I have a copy of a receipt for room, board and tuition ($180) from Riverview Academy, Classical, Commercial and Military Boarding School for Boys, Otis Bisbee Proprieter and Principal. This is dated Jan 2nd 1883. Also included was money for books and supplies plus $2.00 "pocket money".

I am hoping to find someone who might have more information on the school. There is a pen and ink drawing of a 3 or 4 story building on the receipt which looks as if it is on a bluff overlooking the river.If you would like a copy of this receipt I could email you a copy.
