Stephani,
Have you found many Quakers who served in the Revolution, were disowned
(expelled), repented and restored to membership? Many I know of were in
Westchester. They served but no record of their being disowned; however
many records from the meeting there destroyed because of the fighting. None
were Quakers after the war. Pacifism is a root belief of the Friends and
didn't think they would accept repentance except under very unusual
circumstances.
In the Philadelphia area, none of the Meetings would take any military
people back. Understand that some veterans formed a sect for themselves
called Primitives. Have never been able to get any information on them.

Margaret,
If you know what meeting your Andrew White attended, you might want to check
the men's minutes of that meeting to see if Andrew was ever disowned for
serving in the war. He could have been Capt. Andrew White, and been
disowned;
but if he later acknowledged his transgression could have been restored to
membership. The only way you can know for sure is to check the minutes.
