Celia, It may be possible for you to obtain the records you are looking
for from the locality (Town or City or Poughkeepsie). Go to the "Vital
Records" section of the Dutchess County Genealogical Society at
http://www.dcgs-gen.org/
Click on Registrars, select the municipality you are interested in and
then review the information regarding what records are available for
what time periods. There is information there about how to request
records from the local town or village and usually the wait is not long
at all.
