Jennifer,
I don't know--this is part of my problem! I know VERY LITTLE--a couple
sentences from a book on the Cutler lines. Basically, Nathan Cutler mar a
Betsey Traver/s, a near relative of the Vail/Vieles, and who had also a
close relative Jacob Allen living in Cherry Valley(this would be late
1700's, early 1800's). Allens(and maybe others of this group) were
apparently Quakers, which would lead me to suspect them not to be the German
variety. I watch both the German and English ...have read a couple of the
English Traver/s books, and cannot definitely identify the Isaac Traver who
I know was a brother. Very frustrating!! Part of these families went to
Canada during/shortly after the Revolution and mostly returned to NY...but
this hasn't helped much yet either!. Any thoughts much appreciated. Happy
to share whatever I have...which, unfortunately is very little.
Suzanne
