As far as I can see the OLIVE TREE web site is a "front" for
Ancestry.com; the latter is a site for which one must pay a fee. If I've
missed something please advise.

I have found a number of sites that promise genealogy info but they often
take you to a ancestry.com web site. I have no problem with a web site
that up front lets us know there are fees. What is distasteful is an
implication that there is free info and then one is led to a site which
requires a fee. I also note that free info is often touted while what
actually one finds is a "free" introductory offer. Don't all genealogists
want total truth in statements in initial statements to avoid waste of
time, especially since so many of us have a rather slow dial-up
connection?
